Education: School appeals for completion of abandoned dorm

The Principal of Bia Lamplighter College of Education BLACOE in the Bia West District of Western North Region,Dr. Samuel Agyemang, has called for dormitories to accommodate training college students,

In an interview with Bibianinews.com, the Principal disclosed that many challenges are confronting the college’s success but, instantly, the dormitories are their bigger challenges.

He said during the Covid-19 era the government made plans to construct dormitories for them but abandoned them since 2022.

He continued to say that the government provides them with a contractor and constructs some classroom blocks to admit some students, which is why the number of students is increasing, but they have not yet completed the rest of it.

Mr. Samuel Agyemang noted that completing the documentary would bring great relief to the management and the students and would also help improve on teaching and learning.

“We appeal to government institutions to come to the aid of the college in fixing several challenges confronting the school.

he thank the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, NPP government and all stakeholders for supporting the college to enroll some qualified teachers on paid roll to earn a living.
