W/N/R : Assent the LGBTQ + Bill else Ghanaians won't forgive you: Queen Mother tells Nana Addo

The Omanhemaa of Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Area, Nana Abena Aniwaa II, who doubles as a member of the Western North Peace Council, has appealed to his excellency president Akufo Addo to assent the anti LGBTQ+ Bill into law to prevent any calamity from befalling the nation.

Nana Abena Aniwaa II voiced her belief that the LGBTQ+ should not be entertained because it contradicts the beliefs of traditionalists, Christians, and Muslims in the country.

In an interview with Bibianinews.com, the Sefwi Bekwai Omanhemaa, Nana Abena Aniwaa II, stated that any country who supports it will face the wrath of God and our culture and values needed to be protected.

“President Akufo Addo has a good integrity and reputation, and as a professional lawyer and royal who knows about our customs and traditions, I hope the first gentle of the land will sign the anti LGBTQ+ bill. In fact, the president has done well as a leader and assenting to the bill will pave the way for generation yet unborn to remember him and if he refuses, it will dent his image as president,” she added.

Moreover, she warned the young people in the nation against being manipulated to incite unrest during the upcoming December 7 elections in 2024. Due to the violence and chaos in the election, she pleaded that most counties have become underdeveloped and lost the motivation to support growth.

Advising the youth, she warned against allowing politicians to buy their conscience and destroy their future, thus avoiding an uncomfortable situation and causing chaos for the country.
