Greater Accra: New Voter Forum Calls for Cancellation of Ghana Link Network Services Contract

The New Voter Forum, a group aligned with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is calling for the government to cancel its contract with Ghana Link Network Services Limited. According to Conqueror Mawudzo Korto, the group's convenor, the contractual agreement between the Ministry of Trade and Ghana Link Network Services Limited requires a thorough, independent audit to assess its impact and effectiveness.

Korto claims that the ICUMS platform, which is part of the contract, has been unreliable and ineffective. This, he asserts, has significantly weakened Ghana's position as a logistics hub in West Africa. "The capture of Ghana's trade system equates to the hijacking of the nation's future," Korto warned, emphasizing the need for immediate action.

The New Voter Forum is urging civil society organizations, industry leaders, the media, and parliament to take action and prevent further losses. This development comes amid concerns over governance and contract management in Ghana's public sector.
