GPL UPDATE : Nation FC picks a narrow 1:0 win over Kotoko
Dr Kwame Kyei’s Nations FC today at Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the week 23 game of the 2023/24 season won 1:0 away against their city rivals Kotoko. Afriyie in the 45+3 minutes got the opener in the Ashanti derby and it was enough to secure the nations the 3 points.
The first league game ended 2:2 at Dr Kwame Kyei sports complex, a game that was full of a lot of controversies. This is the second time the two teams are meeting in the league and kotoko has still not find a win against them.
Asante kotoko is in an inferior form, losing 4 matches in a row. Nations FC sits 2nd on the league log with just 2 points separating them and Samartex fc. Nations FC has high hopes of winning the league in their first season.
