 NPP Parliamentary Primiries : 9 File To Contest 3 Constituencies In The Western North Region

Nine members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have successfully filed their nomination forms to contest the upcoming parliamentary primaries in 3 constituencies in the Western North Region.

Out of the number, no candidates will go unopposed.

If all the candidates go through the vetting process, they will battle it out in the primaries, which are expected to be conducted on January 27th,2024 in constituencies.

Currently, the NPP occupies 3 seats within the region and whose Member of Parliament (MP) is Hon.Alfred Obeng Boateng, Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, Dr.Kwaku Afireyie, Sefwi Wiawso Constituency and Alex Tetteh Djornabuah Sefwi Akontombra Constituency.

Contests

In the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai constituency, the incumbent MP Hon.Alfred Obeng Boateng, will slug it out with Dr Emmanuel Borkor Nuako , the son of the former chairman , while in the Sefwi Akontombra constituency will be a two-horse race between the incumbent MP, Hon.Alex Atteh Djornabuah and Hon.Appiah Kubi Baidoo.

Four persons who filed to contest in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency are Mr.Festus Bumangama Agyapong, Mr.Martin Bonye, Mrs.Golly Antwi Bosiako and Annor Xavier.
