Election 2024: Mahama is not an alternative. He can’t run Ghana in four years, says Alhaji Ben Ali Seaman.
Alhaji Ben Ali Seaman, the chairman of the Council of Patrons for the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP), also serves as the coordinator for the NPP youth group in the Constituency Movement for Justice and Equal Right (MJER). He expressed doubts about former President John Mahama’s ability to manage Ghana effectively in a four-year period.
The former Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency NPP Organizer also stressed the importance of continuity and experience in governance, contrasting the NDC flagbearer’s track record with the leadership of the vice-president and NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Expressing doubts about Mahama’s potential in a four-year term, Seaman argued that Dr Bawumia’s candidacy would guarantee the continuation of the progress achieved by the NPP government.
“Mahama is tried and tested. Dr Bawumia is not tried and tested. If you give the mantle to Dr Bawumia, because of our numerous programmes and the things that we have, continuity will prevail.
We have the realization that we will progress. Despite the world financial crisis, the NPP has made Ghana very proud. And you can attest to the fact that the IMF has commended the NPP government for achieving what they thought could not be achievable,” Seaman noted.
“And what is Mahama coming to do for only four years? We have an understanding of what governance entails. For four years, how can he manage and arrange the resources? The lawmaker further quizzed.
He urged Ghanaians to endorse Dr Bawumia as president and retain Alfred Obeng Boateng as a member of Parliament on 7 December.
“Voting for the two would mean continued development for the country as a whole and the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency in particular,” He stated.
He uses the opportunity to charge the party members to begin the 2024 campaign on a retail basis, where they engage persons they meet on the way with the good policies of the party.
“Let’s tell the Ghanaian electorate what we have done in government for the eight (8) years they gave us in government and use same to appeal to them to vote for Dr Bawumia and our Parliamentary candidates on December 7 for us to continue with the development of the country”, Seaman stressed.
