Mr. Issac Anyimah, popularly known as “Director,” has donated school uniforms to pupils of Bethlehem Experimental Basic School in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region as part of efforts to support education and improve teaching and learning.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Mr. Anyimah explained that supporting schools and school children has always been one of his passions, especially in helping to improve education within communities.

According to him, the Assembly Member for the Bethlehem Electoral Area appealed to him to extend his support to schools within the electoral area after hearing about his previous donations to other schools.

He stated that prior to the donation at Bethlehem Experimental Basic School, he had already presented school uniforms to pupils of Nzemankwanta M/A Basic School, also located within the Bethlehem Electoral Area.

“I normally support schools to help improve teaching and learning. When the Assembly Member for Bethlehem Electoral Area approached me and appealed for assistance for schools in the area, I accepted it because education is very important,” he said.

Mr. Anyimah further noted that although the government is doing its best to improve the quality of education in the country, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders also have a responsibility to contribute towards the development of education.

He therefore urged teachers to remain committed to their duties and continue giving out their best in shaping the future of school children.

He also advised parents to prioritize the education of their children instead of sending them to farms during school hours, stressing that education remains one of the best investments parents can make for their children.

“To the parents, I will encourage them to invest in their children’s education because it is the key to a brighter future. Children should not be taken to farms during school hours,” he advised.

Mr. Anyimah also encouraged the pupils to take their studies seriously, remain disciplined, and show respect to elderly people and their teachers.

Receiving the uniforms on behalf of the school, the Headmaster of Bethlehem Experimental Basic School, Mr. Boahen Tofic Issifu, expressed gratitude to the donor for the kind gesture.

According to him, the donation had come at the right time since schools would soon vacate, and pupils would return to school with new uniforms when academic activities resume.

He appealed to natives of Bethlehem who are living in cities and have been blessed financially to also remember their hometown schools and support them with educational materials and infrastructure.

“This donation has come at the right time, and we are very grateful. I want to appeal to natives of Bethlehem who are doing well in the cities to also come back and support the school,” he stated.

The Assembly Member for the Bethlehem Electoral Area, Mr. Samuel Abugri, also commended Mr. Issac Anyimah for supporting school children across the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.

He noted that some children fail to attend school regularly due to the lack of school uniforms and expressed confidence that the donation would help improve school attendance and boost the confidence of the pupils.

Mr. Samuel Abugri further appealed to individuals, philanthropists, and organizations to continue supporting education within the municipality to help build a better future for children.
