BIBIANI : Sefwi Aboabo Installs New Imam, Pledges to Contribute to the Growth of Islam in the Community
The Sefwi Aboabo Zongo Community in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region has a new Imam, following the coronation of Mallam Sulemana Mumuni.
The ceremony took place after the Islamic funeral (dua) of the previous Imam, who passed away a couple of weeks ago.
The Anhwiaso Imam, Imam Mustafa Mohammed, formally installed Mallam Sulemana Mumuni as the new Imam by tying a traditional white turban around his head.
After the installation, Imam Mustafa Mohammed prayed for the new Imam and advised him to serve the community selflessly.
Mallam Sulemana Mumuni expressed gratitude to the authorities for the opportunity and promised to contribute to the growth of Islam in the Aboabo community.
He also pledged to focus on ensuring that children attend Makaranta (Islamic school) to learn Arabic well, with the support of his elders.
The new Imam's installation marks a new chapter in the spiritual leadership of the Sefwi Aboabo Zongo Community.
The community looks forward to his guidance and leadership in promoting Islamic values and community development.
