Engage in national service with a positive mindset - Madam Nneka

The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Director for National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Madam Martha Nneka Opara, has advised service persons posted in classrooms to approach national service with a positive attitude and give off their best.

Speaking with Bibianinews.com, after a day orientation programme organised for the 2023/2024 national service personnel who have been posted in classrooms.

She said the national service is to enable you to mingle with the larger society and experience the corporate environment as it applies in the real world, as well as identify the job opportunities available at their disposal for their future career development.

She said that many service persons did not approach the national service period with a positive attitude and, therefore, did not put in their best.

She counselled them to be punctual at work and engage in effective and efficient service delivery to the University. He urged them to shun mediocrity but to strive to do their best in every task that would be assigned to them.

She encouraged service persons to view the service not as paid employment but as a way to acquaint themselves with the corporate world.

Madam Martha encouraged them to view the service as a training process that would expose them to various opportunities within the country and urged them to recognize the importance of building their social networks now for their future.
