Mr. Kwame Obeng-Adjinah, popularly known as Royal, Chairman of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai 6th March Festival Planning Committee, has called on residents, indigenes, and the general public to throng Bibiani to celebrate this year’s Independence Day festivities in grand style.
Speaking in an interview with Bibianinews.com, Royal disclosed that preparations for the “Visit Bibiani” 6th March Festival have been carefully structured to ensure a peaceful, entertaining, and memorable celebration for all participants.
According to him, the planning committee is working closely with the Municipal Chief Executive and various security agencies to guarantee maximum safety before, during, and after the event.
“We have collaborated with the MCE and the security services to ensure that this year’s celebration is well organized and secure. We want everyone to feel safe and enjoy the event,” he stated.
He further used the opportunity to commend the Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, Bright Asamoah Brefo, for rekindling the spirit of the Bibiani 6th March Festival by transforming it from a one-day celebration into a week-long programme filled with diverse and engaging activities.
Royal noted that the expansion of the festival has generated renewed excitement and increased participation among residents and visitors. He added that the week-long celebration is not only about marking Ghana’s Independence but also about promoting unity, tourism, and economic growth within the municipality.
He therefore appealed to investors, business owners, and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the festivities to explore business opportunities in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.
According to him, Bibiani holds significant potential in sectors such as commerce, hospitality, agriculture, and small-scale enterprises. He emphasized that attracting more investors will help create employment opportunities and accelerate development in the area.
The 6th March Festival forms part of activities under the “Visit Bibiani” initiative, which aims to showcase the rich culture, unity, and development prospects of the municipality.
Mr. Obeng-Adjinah concluded by encouraging families, youth groups, and visitors from neighboring communities to attend in their numbers and be part of what he described as “a celebration of culture, unity, and progress.”
This year’s event is expected to feature colourful cultural displays, entertainment, exhibitions, and other exciting activities that will position Bibiani as a key destination in the Western North Region during Ghana’s Independence Day celebrations.
