The Ashanti West branch of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) recently organized a public forum for its customers at Bibiani, providing a platform for residents to engage with the company's officials on its operations and services.

The forum brought together stakeholders, including community leaders, assembly members, business operators, and ordinary consumers. ECG officials used the opportunity to explain their work, address challenges faced by the public, and outline measures being implemented to improve electricity supply in the area.

The Ashanti West Managing Director of ECG, Ing. George Amoah, in a speech read on his behalf, highlighted the company's digital transformation agenda and its benefits to customers.These benefits include the enhanced Power App and the Cashless payment system. He assured the public of the company's commitment to delivering reliable and efficient power to households and industries.

Ing. Amoah appealed to the public to promptly report faults, avoid illegal connections, and honor their financial obligations to the company to ensure smooth operations.

Ing. Joseph Atuah Naree, District Manager of ECG Bibiani, also warned against illegal connections and advised the public to hire qualified electricians for wiring.

Some residents who participated in the forum expressed their concerns, citing high electricity bills that often exceed the cost of electrical items used in their homes.

The ECG officials assured the public that their concerns would be addressed and encouraged customers to continue engaging with the company to improve services.
