Private Sector Key to Job Creation; Government Must Provide More Support – Nana Yeboah Afranie V

Nana Yeboah Afranie V, Bamdihene of the Ewutu Traditional Area, has called on the government to intensify support for the private sector, citing its crucial role in reducing unemployment and driving economic growth in the country.

According to the traditional ruler, private enterprises remain major contributors to job creation and national development and, therefore, deserve policies and incentives that will enable them to expand and thrive.

Nana Yeboah Afranie V made the call during the official launch of the Ablekuma Branch of Frontier Oil Ghana Limited in the Greater Accra Region.

He commended the management of Frontier Oil Ghana Limited for its continued investment in the country and expansion of its operations, noting that such initiatives not only bring essential services closer to consumers but also create employment opportunities and improve livelihoods within local communities.

The Bamdihene emphasized that stronger collaboration between the government and the private sector is critical to addressing the country's unemployment challenges, particularly among the youth.

"Businesses such as Frontier Oil Ghana Limited are making enormous contributions to job creation and national development. It is therefore imperative for government to create an enabling environment and provide the necessary support to encourage more investment in the private sector," he stated.

Nana Yeboah Afranie V further urged corporate institutions to continue partnering with communities and contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

He noted that sustainable economic growth can only be achieved through collective efforts between the government and private enterprises, stressing that empowering businesses would ultimately translate into more employment opportunities and improved living standards for Ghanaians.

The official opening of the Ablekuma Branch forms part of Frontier Oil Ghana Limited's expansion strategy aimed at increasing access to quality and affordable petroleum products while contributing to Ghana's economic transformation agenda.

The event brought together traditional leaders, industry players, transport operators, community members and other stakeholders, who lauded the company's commitment to delivering quality services and creating employment opportunities for Ghanaians.

Many participants described the opening of the new branch as a significant milestone that would further boost economic activities and strengthen the company's presence in the downstream petroleum sector.
