W/N/R : SOCIAL : Energy Commission to collaborate with law enforcement to apprehend uncertified electricians
In the upcoming months, the Energy Commission is planning to partner with the law enforcement to apprehend defiant uncertified electricians, whose unregulated services pose serious risks to their clients’ safety.
Mustapha Frimpong, the Senior Officer in charge of the Western North Regional Energy Commissioner, emphasized that the services provided by uncertified electricians expose clients to a range of electrical hazards, including electrocution, severe burns, and fire outbreaks.
“We believe this measure will be effective in bringing these uncertified electricians under control,” he stated.
Mustapha Frimpong revealed the Energy Commission would persist in its community engagement efforts to educate the public about the importance of using certified electricians.
He emphasized practitioners found engaging in infractions against licensing conditions would face sanctions.
He hence encouraged the satisfied electricians to work hand in hand to ensure that every electrical installation in Ghana is not only a complaint but also safe.
