NDC COMMUNICATOR SAYS MAHAMA GOVERNMENT HAS MADE COST OF LIVING MORE BEARABLE
BIBIANI — SEPTEMBER 1, 2026: A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Nana Appiah Mensah, has questioned the relevance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) seeking to return to power in the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the NPP must first convince Ghanaians why the party deserves another opportunity to govern the country, considering its record while in government.
Speaking during a political discussion on Stylish Radio’s morning show, hosted by Hamza Mohammad, Nana Appiah Mensah argued that the NDC remains the political party with the interests of Ghanaians at heart.
He said the NDC has introduced policies aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and creating a more favourable economic environment for households and businesses.
The law student maintained that the government’s policies under President John Dramani Mahama are gradually making life more manageable for ordinary Ghanaians.
He particularly pointed to the cost of living, arguing that the current administration has made the situation better compared with what he described as the difficult economic conditions experienced under the previous NPP administration.
According to him, the improvement should not only be measured by political rhetoric but by the experiences of ordinary citizens who are dealing with the prices of goods and services, employment opportunities and other economic challenges.
Nana Appiah Mensah further defended the NDC’s policies, describing the party as one that has consistently demonstrated concern for the welfare and development of Ghana.
He urged Ghanaians to critically examine the policies and performance of both the NDC and NPP before making a decision in the 2028 elections.
The NDC communicator also challenged the NPP to present a convincing message to the electorate and explain what it intends to do differently should Ghanaians return the party to power.
He stressed that elections should be based on the performance, policies and vision of political parties rather than political slogans.
Nana Appiah Mensah made the comments during a political discussion on Stylish Radio 102.1 FM’s Stylish-In-The-Morning, where political representatives examined the performance of the current government and the prospects of the two major political parties ahead of the 2028 general elections.
His comments have added to the growing political debate in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency as the NDC and NPP intensify their public engagement and begin positioning themselves ahead of the next general election.
