Western North NPP Regional Executives Elections: All Three Aspirants from Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Lose

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has held its Western North Regional Executives Elections, with all three aspirants from the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency losing in their respective contests.

The three aspirants from the constituency were McDaniels Nyame, who contested for the Regional Chairmanship; Kwabena Asiedu Amankwa, who contested for Youth Organiser; and Janet Danso, who contested for Women Organiser.

Despite their efforts, none of the three secured enough votes to win their respective positions.

Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Aspirants

McDaniels Nyame polled 85 votes in the Regional Chairmanship contest but lost to Pious Vincent Abekah, who emerged victorious with 100 votes. Martha Kwayie Manu placed third with 9 votes.

In the Youth Organiser race, Kwabena Asiedu Amankwa obtained 43 votes, while Gideon Brenya Agyapong won convincingly with 152 votes.

For the Women Organiser position, Janet Danso polled 59 votes, losing to Patricia Boakye, who secured 135 votes.

The results mean that none of the three aspirants who represented the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency secured a position on the new Western North NPP Regional Executive team.

The elections have therefore ushered in a new crop of regional executives who will be expected to lead the party's activities and mobilisation efforts across the Western North Region.

The outcome is also expected to generate discussions within the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency regarding the factors that influenced the voting pattern and the way forward for the constituency ahead of future party activities and elections.
