Vehicle and Pragya Owners Urged to Acquire Fire Extinguishers

The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Fire Commander, Divisional Officer (DOII) Enock Tetteh, has emphasized the importance of vehicle and tricycle (Pragya) owners acquiring fire extinguishers to protect their vehicles from potential fire outbreaks. This, he noted, is both a safety precaution and a legal requirement.

DOII Enock Tetteh expressed concern over the rising number of fire outbreaks in the area and advised residents to take safety precautions seriously. He urged the public to ensure all electrical appliances are switched off before leaving their homes or workplaces. Additionally, he reminded food vendors to properly extinguish fires to prevent accidents.

"We are committed to ensuring fire safety, prevention, and combating fires to guarantee public safety. Fire safety is a shared responsibility; we all need to come on board to accept and implement safety tips being released by the Ghana National Fire Service," DOII Enock Tetteh emphasized.

The National Union of Tricycle Operators of Ghana, Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal branch chairman, Mr. Anthony Fiifi, also urged vehicle owners to support riders with necessary equipment to make their work easier. He advised riders to reduce overspeeding and obey road regulations to ensure safety.
