Tragedy ! 5 Perished, Others Injured in Road Crash on Bibiani- Kumasi Highways

Five persons died and others injured in a road crash on Bibiani to Kumasi Highways in between Adiebra and Mangoese in the Atwima Mponua district of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday   May, 15,2024.

Bibianinews.com source indicates that two of them perished on the spot while another 3 died on referral on their way to Okomfour Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Report suggests that the accident occurred when a sprinter bus with registration number AC- 1247-20 travelling from Kumasi to Sefwi Asawinso with twenty two passengers on board collided head on with another sprinter bus with registration number AS-3975 -24 travelling from Bibiani to Kumasi with seventeen  passengers on board.

Thirty six others who were also sustained some degree of injuries were rushed to Nhyinahin government hospital where four were treated and discharged.

Moreover, twenty six of the injured passengers are also in a critical condition receiving treatment at the Okomfour Anokye Teaching Hospital.
