A 46-year-old chop bar operator, Amidatu Seidu, popularly known in the community as Owonta (Twins Mother), has been left devastated after unknown thieves allegedly broke into her bedroom at Bibiani Degede in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality and stole virtually all her belongings.

The unfortunate incident, which occurred recently, has thrown the mother of six into a state of distress as she struggles to recover from the significant losses she has suffered.

According to information gathered by this reporter, the thieves gained access to her room and thoroughly ransacked the place before making away with a wide range of household items and personal effects. Stolen items reportedly include clothes, soaps, bags of maize, travelling bags, dressing bags, sandals, a bed, mattress, and several dresses belonging to her six children.

Speaking about the incident, the visibly distressed victim said she was shocked to discover that almost everything in her room had been taken away by the thieves. She noted that the stolen items represented years of hard work and sacrifice through her chop bar business.

Residents of Bibiani Degede who spoke to the media expressed concern over the growing insecurity in the area and called on security agencies to intensify patrols and investigations to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Many community members have also sympathized with Amidatu Seidu and her children, describing the incident as a major setback for the family.
