The Queen Mother of Sefwi Nkwadum, Obahenma Asafra Bennie has expressed deep concern over reports circulating in the media regarding an alleged fatal stabbing involving a 16-year-old Junior High School (JHS) 3 student, Akua Kumah.
Recent publications by the Daily Graphic claimed that a heartbreaking incident had occurred in the Nkwadum community, where the student was allegedly stabbed to death during an altercation with a fellow student.

The reports suggested that the incident had shaken the community and raised serious concerns about violence among schoolchildren.

However, the Queen Mother has categorically denied the accuracy of these reports. According to Obahenma Asafra Bennie I, no such incident has occurred recently in Sefwi Nkwadum.

She clarified that the story being circulated appears to be a mix-up, explaining that a similar incident reportedly happened three to four years ago, not in the present time as being reported.

She therefore urges the general public, media houses, and all stakeholders to disregard the recent publications, as they do not reflect the current situation in the community.

The Queen Mother further appeals to journalists and media organizations to verify information thoroughly before publication to avoid unnecessary panic, misinformation, and distress to families and the community at large.
