"Hon. Eric Opoku Is the Pillar of Ahafo Region" – Regional Minister Commends Agric Minister

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs.) Charity Gardiner, has described the Minister for Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Asunafo South, , as the "pillar of the Ahafo Region" in recognition of his exceptional leadership and commitment to the development of the region.

She made the remarks during the official launch of the Asunafo South District Assembly's Primary Free Healthcare Programme, an event that also witnessed the presentation of six brand-new pickup vehicles by Hon. Eric Opoku to the Asunafo South District Health Directorate to strengthen healthcare delivery across the district.

According to the Regional Minister, Hon. Eric Opoku has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the lives of the people of Asunafo South and the Ahafo Region through impactful development initiatives.

She noted that the donation of the six vehicles is a clear demonstration of the Agriculture Minister's commitment to improving access to quality healthcare, especially in underserved communities where transportation remains a major challenge for health workers.

Hon. Charity Gardiner praised the Minister for combining his national responsibilities with his continued commitment to the welfare of his constituents, describing him as one of Ghana's most hardworking and development-oriented public servants.

"The people of Asunafo South are fortunate to have a leader who continues to invest in their well-being. Hon. Eric Opoku has become a pillar not only for Asunafo South but for the entire Ahafo Region because of his unwavering commitment to development," she stated.

The six pickup vehicles are expected to enhance the operational capacity of the Asunafo South District Health Directorate by facilitating supervision, emergency response, outreach services, and the implementation of public health programmes across the district.

The launch of the Primary Free Healthcare Programme forms part of efforts to improve access to essential healthcare services and promote quality healthcare delivery for residents of Asunafo South.
