Press Release from the Chairman of Patrons for NPP in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Professor Alhaji Ben Ali Seaman

The press, Ladies and Gentlemen,I would like to take this great opportunity to thank the flagbearer of our party, H. E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for giving attention to our request to embark on the grassroot campaign trail. This shows that DR. Bawumia is a listening leader and he will be the best president this country has ever had. H. E. DR. Mahamudu Bawumia during his recent tour of Eastern and Western North Region embarked on a grassroot level campaign, door-to- door canvassing and holding rallies. DR. Bawumia is well prepared to lead and we are going to give him the necessary support to make it happen.

Ladies and gentlemen,it is evidently clear that the NDC as a party are not just incompetent managers of Ghana’s economy but also corrupt officials. There have been a number of accusations of corruption under the NDC. Government contracts awarded to former president Mahama’s brother,bus branding saga, Gyeeda scandal, Sada scandal, Ford saga, Woyome’s scandal, cancellation of teacher and nursing trainee allowance, Dumsor and economic mismanagement were rallying call over Ghana ruled by NDC under former president Mahama. The fact of the matter is that there are more bribery and corruption scandals hanging on the neck of former president Mahama than any other president in the history of Ghanaian politics. He cannot turn around to create the impression that he is still a better option. Former president Mahama will not be accountable to Ghanaians after four years and therefore, there is no need to vote for him.

Finally Ladies and Gentlemen, NPP and Dr. Bawumia have what it takes to lead this country, considering the good social intervention policies like free SHS, infrastructural development projects, restoration of teacher and nursing trainee allowance, better managers of the economy, medical drones and others implemented to rescue ordinary Ghanaians.

NPP government deserves another term and let’s give DR. Mahamudu Bawumia the chance to lead, and I believe Ghana will prosper under his leadership.
