Bibiani: Cleric urged Christians to remain firm in faith, trust in God’s plan

Christians have been charged to have strong faith, trust in God’s plan and believe in His power to fulfil all promises.

Rev Anthony Aminartey Agbenyafia, the Bibiani District Minister for the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Bethel congratulation gave the charge during the thanksgiving service in remembering on accident that got Catechist Charles Assuah the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Trinity Congratulation - Bibiani Ahodwo Ford explorer pickup spontaneously caught fire while driving on Bibiani to Sefwi Bekwai highway after church service on the 29 June,2023.

Speaking on the topic, “Faith and Trust”, Rev Anthony said as Christians we should endeavour to always trust in God and be more prayerful when trials and temptations come our way, since God has promised to be always by us through thick and thin.

He urged Christians to eschew sin, saying it was the only thing that separated them from the love of God.

The Cleric advised Christians to worship only the living God and have strong faith in Jesus Christ.

By looking to Christ as the model for all Christians to follow, the apostle steers his audience towards a deeper awareness of a communal life based on love and sacrifice, especially as it might express itself in the world we inhabit. So, by confessing our faith in Christ, we orient ourselves to a right and dutiful human existence.

Catechist Charles Assuah speaking to the congregation, thank God, by saying,

“But I would like to thank God. My car caught on fire while I was driving, and I was able to stop on the inside shoulder and safely get out of my car without any injuries. I am still alive, which means I am blessed,” he explained.

He uses the opportunity to thank all those who joined him during the thanksgiving service.
