Residents of Hwenampire, a suburb of Bibiani in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, have raised concerns regarding the footbridge situation and have urged the Assembly to rehabilitate the footbridge.

A mother of two, who prefers not to disclose her identity, voices her fear for her children’s lives, during rainy seasons, citing concerns about the bridge and the gutter.

“Why should we vote again? We won’t tolerate any politician again here. The gutter and the bridge have become very dangerous, but nobody is ready to come to our aid. We are calling on the government to listen to us lose our votes,” she said.

Nana Kwame Naana II, Krontihene, reprimanded previous and current administrations of the Municipal Assembly for ignoring their plea to construct the only bridge connecting over two hundred households.

He emphasized the long-standing trouble caused by the bridge for residents, urging immediate action to prevent further issues.

Whilst addressing the press, he vowed to campaign against the Npp government, failure to listen to their plea.

"I want to tell the Npp government, especially our member of Parliament, Hon Alfred Obeng Boateng, to come to our aid. We are also Ghanaians and legible voters.
