I’ll Grade Electoral Commission A+ In The Ongoing Limited Voter Registration Exercise In Western North Region: NDC Regional Chairman
The ongoing limited voter registration exercise, which began Tuesday, May 7, 2024, had a lot of network challenges across the country and intermittent power supply, but the story differed in the Western North Region. This has compelled the Western North Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Micheal Aidoo (Big Aidoo) praising the EC for the good work done in the region.
In an interview with Bibianinews.com, Mr Michael Aidoo (Big Aidoo) stated that by the EC, he will grade them with grade ‘A’, stressing that the commission have done well in terms of logistics and the smooth process of registering new entrants.
He said that he spoke, having got informing the party agents in the 9 district offices from the Western North. However, he added that the government’s inability to restore power in most of the areas where the exercise took place caused a delay.
The Western North Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Benjamin Armah, confirmed that though, there were some network challenges delaying the process but would continue to urge Ghanaians, most especially to those who have turned 18yrs should register since we’re in the digitization era and would appeal to the residents of Western North Region, who have not got registered.
The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Electoral Commission Director, Mr. Francis Addai Boateng, reiterated that power supply and network challenges confronted the exercise, but they later restored it and registered 75 people at Sefwi Humejibre and 32 at the district office in Bibiani.
