NPP Communicator Criticizes NDC Over Use of Tricycles in Healthcare Delivery

A member of the Communications Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, Emmanuel Boamah, has criticized the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) over its approach to improving healthcare delivery in rural communities.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Boamah—who has declared his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Communications Officer—argued that the NPP demonstrated a stronger commitment to quality healthcare during its time in government. He pointed to the party’s provision of ambulances across the country as a significant intervention aimed at strengthening emergency healthcare services and saving lives.

According to him, the NDC, while in opposition, downplayed such initiatives by the NPP. However, he claimed that the current administration is now introducing tricycles, popularly known as “aboboyaa,” under the guise of promoting healthcare delivery in rural areas.

Mr. Boamah questioned the effectiveness of this approach, suggesting that such measures fall short of the standards required to improve healthcare outcomes, particularly in emergency situations. He maintained that the provision of well-equipped ambulances remains a more reliable and impactful solution for enhancing healthcare delivery.

He further asserted that the NPP remains the only political party with a consistent track record of implementing practical and people-centered policies aimed at improving the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. He urged the public to critically assess government interventions and support policies that deliver tangible results.

Mr. Boamah reiterated his commitment to strengthening communication within the party at the constituency level, emphasizing the need to effectively highlight the NPP’s achievements and policy direction.
