The Constituency Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency of the Western North Region, Mr. Ata Marfo, has reaffirmed the party's determination to reclaim power in the 2028 general elections and alleviate the hardships facing Ghanaians.

Speaking during the closure of nominations for the party's nationwide polling station executive elections, Mr. Marfo stated that the NPP remains the only political party with policies that genuinely benefit all citizens, regardless of their background or political affiliation.

According to him, the NPP's track record in government demonstrates its commitment to national development and social welfare. He cited landmark initiatives such as the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, describing them as transformative interventions that have positively impacted millions of Ghanaians.

In contrast, he criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC), arguing that many of its policies serve only a limited section of the population. He specifically referenced the government's "Akoko Nketenkete" initiative, claiming that its benefits are restricted to only a few individuals.

Mr. Marfo further highlighted the infrastructural and developmental projects undertaken during the administration of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, noting that the Western North Region received its fair share of national resources and development projects under the NPP government.

He alleged that the current administration under President John Dramani Mahama has neglected the Western North Region, resulting in stalled development and growing dissatisfaction among residents.

Touching on the party's preparations for the future, Mr. Marfo stressed the importance of unity among party faithful. He called on all members to put aside their differences and work together towards securing victory in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.

"The NPP is fully prepared and determined to rescue Ghanaians from the current economic hardship. With unity, hard work, and commitment, victory will be ours in 2028," he declared.
