The newly appointed Municipal Director of Education for the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Education Directorate, Mr. Samuel Tawiah Nipa, has outlined his vision to improve quality education and strengthen effective management within the municipality.
Speaking in an interview with journalist Osomafo Kwame Owusu during a tour of some schools in the municipality, Mr. Samuel Tawiah Nipa stated that his primary goal is to enhance teaching and learning outcomes to ensure students receive quality education that will prepare them for a brighter future.
According to him, education remains one of the key pillars for national development, and for that reason, all stakeholders must work together to improve academic performance and discipline in schools across the municipality.
Mr. Tawiah Nipa emphasized that under his leadership, the Municipal Education Directorate will focus on promoting efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability in the management of education within the municipality.
He explained that transparent leadership, proper supervision, and teamwork among staff members will help improve the standard of education and ensure that educational resources are properly managed for the benefit of learners.
The newly appointed Director further noted that teachers, parents, and education authorities all have critical roles to play in shaping the future of children through quality education and good moral upbringing.
Speaking during the commencement of the 2026 Arts and Culture Festival in the municipality, themed “Ghanaian Culture, Nurturing and Preserving Ghanaian Values,” Mr. Samuel Tawiah Nipa highlighted the importance of cultural education in shaping responsible and disciplined citizens.
He called on both teaching and non-teaching staff at the Municipal Education Office and schools across the municipality to remain committed to their duties and work tirelessly to educate and guide students towards a successful future.
Mr. Tawiah Nipa also encouraged students to take their education seriously and uphold the cultural values and traditions of Ghana, stressing that discipline and hard work are essential tools for success in life.
The Arts and Culture Festival brought together students, teachers, and education officials to showcase Ghanaian culture through drama, poetry, cultural displays, and traditional performances aimed at preserving the country’s rich cultural heritage.
