My focus is on youth development - Bright Asamoah Brefo

The Parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency of the Western North Region, Bright Asamoah Brefo, has said one of his priorities if elected as member of parliament would be on youth development.

He said some of his key areas include creating decent and sustainable jobs for the youth and investing in young ones to have access to free quality education up to the tertiary level.

Mr. Brefo disclosed this to the Bibianinews. com after the National Deputy Organizer of the party Lawyer Osman Ayariga visited the youth wing of the party at Bibiani.

He said “many social intervention policies such as supporting the youth to enter artisans and scholarships would come to light when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) takes power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Brefo promised to introduce youth mentorship programmes to the area “so many young ones can learn to become distinguished men and women in the future.”

According to him, the constituency since 2004 had been a stronghold for the NPP in the region and it was the time for the NDC to unite and take it from them.

“NDC built and developed Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality, but the NPP has destroyed the delightful image of the constituency,” he said.

He urged the people in the constituency to have trust in the NDC and try it again to enable them to achieve excellent projects and development.

“I think I am more than capable of occupying the seat. I have showed that I do can advocate a lot of things for the constituency. I belong to a powerful party which is known as the diplomatic and development oriented party.

“Let us come together and snatch the parliamentary seat from the NPP,” he said.

Mr. Brefo, a business executive, is contesting the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai seat with the NPPs incumbent MP Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng.
