Kandit Standard School in Bibiani Holds Orientation for Newly Recruited Teachers
Bibiani, Western North Region — Management of Kandit Standard School, Bibiani, has organised a comprehensive orientation programme for its newly recruited teachers as part of efforts to prepare them for effective teaching, professional conduct and meaningful impact in the lives of learners.
The orientation introduced the new teachers to the school's vision, mission and core values, with emphasis on excellence, discipline, integrity and godliness.
Management also engaged the teachers on strategies for making a lasting impact in the classroom, encouraging them to go beyond academic instruction to inspire learners, transform lives and become positive role models.
A major component of the orientation was the school's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its responsibility to contribute positively to the development of the Bibiani community.
The teachers were taken through Carroll's Conceptual Pyramid of Corporate Social Responsibility, which outlines four key areas of institutional responsibility:
Economic Responsibility: Being productive, efficient and sustainable.
Legal Responsibility: Complying with the laws of Ghana as well as relevant regulations of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS).
Ethical Responsibility: Doing what is right, fair and just in dealing with learners, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
Philanthropic Responsibility: Giving back to society and contributing to the welfare and development of the community.
Management of Kandit Standard School said the orientation forms part of its broader commitment to building a strong professional teaching team capable of contributing to quality education and national development.
The school emphasised that its approach goes beyond simply recruiting teachers, but focuses on developing educators who can become nation-builders and positively influence future generations.
The newly recruited teachers were subsequently welcomed into the Kandit family, with management expressing confidence that their contribution would help raise the standard of education at the school and in the wider community.
“At Kandit, we don't just recruit teachers; we build nation builders. Together, we raise the standard.”
