Education Director Commends MCE and MP for Tackling Desks Shortage in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai

BIBIANI — The Municipal Director of Education for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, Mr. Richard Boateng, has commended the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Sebastian Obeng, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo, for their intervention to address the shortage of tables and chairs in schools across the municipality.

The commendation came after the MP and the MCE presented a total of 750 dual desks and mono desks to the Municipal Education Directorate at a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly.

The intervention is expected to help reduce the furniture deficit in schools and create a more conducive learning environment for pupils and students within the municipality.

Speaking to Bibianinews.com after the presentation, the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Richard Boateng, expressed his profound gratitude to Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo and Hon. Sebastian Obeng for responding to the furniture needs of schools in the municipality.

He assured the donors that the furniture would be distributed to schools where the need is greatest and used for its intended purpose.

Meanwhile, the MCE for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, Hon. Sebastian Obeng, reiterated the Assembly's commitment to improving education and ensuring that the basic needs of schoolchildren are adequately addressed.

He urged teachers and school authorities to take proper care of the newly supplied furniture and ensure that the desks and chairs are put to good use and protected from damage.

The presentation forms part of efforts by the Municipal Assembly and the Member of Parliament to improve educational infrastructure and create a better teaching and learning environment for children across the municipality.
