GNAPS Condemns Examination Malpractice, Wishes BECE Candidates Success

The General Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS), Rev. Kennedy Donkor, has strongly condemned all forms of examination malpractice, describing the act as a serious threat to the integrity and credibility of Ghana’s educational system.

Speaking to the media ahead of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Rev. Donkor emphasized the need for candidates, invigilators, and all stakeholders to uphold honesty and discipline throughout the examination period. He stressed that malpractice not only undermines academic standards but also jeopardizes the future of students who engage in such acts.

According to him, education should be built on merit, hard work, and integrity, rather than shortcuts that ultimately damage the nation’s human resource development.

Rev. Donkor further used the opportunity to encourage all BECE candidates across the country to remain focused and confident as they begin their examinations. He urged them to trust in their preparation and avoid any form of malpractice, assuring them that success comes through diligence and determination.

“I wish all candidates the very best in their examinations. Stay calm, believe in yourselves, and let your hard work speak for you,” he stated.

He also called on parents, teachers, and school authorities to provide the necessary support and guidance to ensure a smooth and malpractice-free examination process.

The GNAPS General Secretary reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to promoting quality education and maintaining high ethical standards within private schools across Ghana.
