Jesus Open Doors Donates GH¢10,000 to HOMA Ghana Orphanage to Mark Birthday
Bibiani, Western North Region – Philanthropist and businessman Mr. Francis Coffie, popularly known as Jesus Open Doors, has donated GH¢10,000 to the HOMA Ghana Orphanage as part of activities marking his birthday celebration.
The presentation took place at the Bibiani International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Redemption Temple, where church leaders, members of the orphanage, and well-wishers gathered to witness the donation.
Delivering a sermon at the event, Rev. David Aduampong, Head Pastor of ICGC Redemption Temple, emphasized that giving is a fundamental principle of Christianity. According to him, generosity reflects the true nature of Christ and distinguishes genuine Christians through their love and compassion for others.
He noted that acts of charity promote unity, love, and community development, urging Christians to continually extend support to the less privileged, just as Jesus Christ demonstrated throughout His earthly ministry.
Speaking to the media after the presentation, Mr. Francis Coffie said his annual support for orphanages is a personal covenant he has made with God. He explained that every year, he chooses to celebrate his birthday by putting smiles on the faces of vulnerable children instead of focusing solely on personal celebrations.
"I have made a covenant with God that every year, I will support the needy, especially orphanages, to glorify His name. The Bible teaches us to care for the less privileged and to give to the poor, and I believe this is one way of living out God's word," he said.
Mr. Coffie encouraged individuals, corporate organizations, and religious institutions to cultivate the habit of supporting orphanages and vulnerable people in society, stressing that even small acts of kindness can transform lives.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the orphanage, Pastor Emmanuel Boateng, who is in charge of HOMA Ghana Orphanage at Bibiani Lineso, expressed profound gratitude to Mr. Coffie for his generous gesture.
He described the donation as timely and said it would go a long way in supporting the welfare of the children under the orphanage's care.
Pastor Boateng also appealed to the general public, philanthropists, corporate bodies, and non-governmental organizations to assist the orphanage in completing its permanent facility.
According to him, the orphanage's current rented accommodation is no longer sustainable as the tenancy period has expired. Although construction has begun on a new home, significant financial support is still needed to complete the project and provide the children with a safe and comfortable environment.
He expressed hope that more individuals would emulate the example of Jesus Open Doors by supporting the orphanage to ensure a better future for the children.
