Use Ramadan Festival to Pray for Ghana – Muslims Urged
The Chief of Bibiani Bassengele, Nana Akwasi Ator-Ware II, has called on Muslims across the country to use the holy month of Ramadan as a period of sincere prayer and reflection for the peace and progress of Ghana.
According to the revered traditional leader, Ramadan is not only a time for fasting and spiritual renewal but also a powerful opportunity to seek divine guidance and blessings for the nation. He appealed to the Muslim community in Bibiani and beyond to dedicate special prayers for unity, stability, and economic growth.
Nana Akwasi Ator-Ware II emphasized that Ghana is going through various social and economic challenges, and it is important for citizens, especially people of faith, to pray for wisdom for leaders and peace among all ethnic and religious groups.
He therefore urged Muslims to also remember in their prayers his overlord, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, the Omanhene of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area and President of the National House of Chiefs. He noted that as a traditional ruler who also serves at the national level, he needs divine wisdom, strength, and good health to continue leading effectively.
The Chief further encouraged peaceful coexistence among Christians, Muslims, and traditional believers, stressing that religious harmony remains one of Ghana’s greatest strengths.
“As we fast and pray, let us remember Ghana. Let us pray for peace in our communities, wisdom for our leaders, and prosperity for our country,” he stated.
Ramadan, which is observed by Muslims worldwide, is a sacred month of fasting, prayer, charity, and spiritual growth.
