Social: Bibiani Traders Cry Foul Over Low Patronage because of Current Economic Crisis

Bibiani traders are complaining about low product purchases because of the nation’s ongoing economic problems.

They made these assertions during an interview with Bibianinews. com, Hamza Mohammed. 

According to Amariya Rahmatu, a trader in the Bibiani market said, “The market is terrible nowadays. Everyone who comes here wants you to give them the items on credit, which they also find it difficult to pay. It’s only God we looking up because he is the only one who can save us from this economic hardship.”

In addition Madam Joyce Ampomah a tomato seller in the aforementioned market said “Since there is no money in the country it has made it very difficult for people to buy, but they come here just to look at the things available in the market (window shopping) which has indeed made life very difficult for us.”

Mr. Kofi Nyamekye, a business owner, also added his take. “Life is indeed a great struggle for we, the traders in Bibiani. This is so because we come to work from Monday to Sunday and we get nothing. We are pleading to the government to do something about the economic crises in the country so that life will be easy for us.”

In conclusion, Mr. Kofi Nyamekye, a dealer in secondhand clothing, also said “Anytime I call the price of my items to customers, they just look at my face and say bye–bye to me without saying a word. I don’t know whether it is the economic hardship or managing the government I cannot tell. They need the items but don’t have money to purchase the products. So I have no option but to reduce the price of the goods so that they will finish early without me getting even a penny. This has indeed brought a tremendous problem on us, the traders in Bibiani.”
