Awaso STEM Emerges Champion of the 2025 Sefwi Anhwiaso Eluo Festival Inter-SHS Quiz Competition
Awaso STEM Senior High School has been crowned champions of the 2025 Sefwi Anhwiaso Eluo Festival Inter-Senior High School Quiz Competition after an impressive performance that placed them ahead of three other competing schools.
The final scores were as follows:
1. Awaso STEM SHS – 61 points (1st Place)
2. Otoo SHS – 57 points (2nd Place)
3. Queen's SHS – 41 points (3rd Place)
4. Bibiani SHTS – 40 points (4th Place)
The keenly-contested quiz formed part of activities marking the 2025 Eluo Festival celebration under the theme “Our Heritage, Our People, Our Development.”
Speaking at the event, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, President of the National House of Chiefs and Omanhene of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Council, congratulated all participating schools, especially the winning school, Awaso STEM, for their outstanding performance.He commended the students for their hard work, confidence, and dedication.
Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II emphasized that such educational programs are organized to encourage academic excellence and to inspire students to build a brighter future for themselves and the community.
He noted that the Eluo Festival is not only about culture and tradition but also about promoting development through education.
Representing the Western North Regional Education Director, Richard Kwashie Agbenyo expressed appreciation to the traditional authorities for prioritizing education by organizing the quiz.
He encouraged students across the region to take their studies seriously and make good use of opportunities created for them.
A contestant from the winning school, Anita Anim, described their victory as a dream come true.
She expressed gratitude to their teachers and supporters for preparing them adequately and promised that Awaso STEM will continue to work hard to maintain their academic excellence.
The event drew students, teachers, traditional leaders, and community members, all of whom celebrated the spirit of learning and unity inspired by the Eluo Festival.
