During the event, Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah, CEO of GNPC, took over as president of the African Petroleum Producers Association (APPA). The APPA-AOW events coincided with GNPC's 40th-anniversary launch, which was preceded by an official dinner at the presidency attended by Ghana's Vice President. President John Dramani Mahama formally launched the anniversary celebrations at the Kempinski hotel.
