30 Communities to Benefit from Electricity Extension in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality

The Government of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has approved an electricity extension project for 30 communities within the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality in the Western North Region.

This major development follows appeals made by several communities during the recent “Thank You Tour” by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo. In response, the MP, in collaboration with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), compiled a list of underserved communities lacking access to electricity.

The list was subsequently submitted to the Ministry of Energy through the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). After sustained follow-ups by the MP, approval has now been granted for immediate commencement of electrification works in the selected communities.

Authorities have assured that communities not included in this phase should remain calm, as plans are underway to extend similar projects to other areas in due course.

Residents are also encouraged to continue supporting the efforts of the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive, who remain committed to improving infrastructure and enhancing the living standards within the municipality.
