Hon. Eric Opoku Announces Ultra-Modern Dining Hall for Kwapong Nursing Training College

Asunafo South, Ahafo Region – The Member of Parliament for Asunafo South and Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, has announced that the Kwapong Nursing Training College is set to receive an ultra-modern dining hall capable of accommodating more than 1,500 students.

The Minister made the announcement during the launch of the Asunafo South District Assembly's Free Primary Healthcare Programme, where he also donated six brand-new pickup vehicles to the Asunafo South District Health Directorate to improve healthcare delivery across the district.

According to Hon. Eric Opoku, the Kwapong Nursing Training College remains a landmark achievement in the constituency, having been established during his tenure as the Ahafo Regional Minister. He noted that the institution has become a vital centre for training healthcare professionals to serve the region and the country.

He revealed that the construction of the new dining hall forms part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure at the college and create a conducive learning environment for students.

"The Kwapong Nursing Training College, the only health training institution established in the constituency under my leadership as then Regional Minister, is also set to receive an ultra-modern, well-built dining hall that can accommodate over 1,500 students, with access to modern facilities to ensure the smooth execution of institutional goals," he stated.

Hon. Eric Opoku emphasized that investing in educational and health infrastructure remains one of his key priorities, stressing that quality facilities are essential for producing competent healthcare professionals to support Ghana's health sector.

He reaffirmed his commitment to championing development initiatives that will improve education, healthcare, and the overall well-being of the people of Asunafo South.

The announcement was warmly received by participants at the event, with many describing the planned dining hall as another major milestone that will enhance student welfare and strengthen the capacity of the Kwapong Nursing Training College.
