Ms. Fonda Nafisatu, Founder of FONDER IMPACT GLOBAL, has donated a wheelchair and an undisclosed amount of money to a physically challenged student of Chirano Community Day Senior High School to support his mobility and other personal needs.
The gesture forms part of her philanthropic efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals, particularly young people, and helping them overcome challenges that could hinder their education and personal development.
Speaking after the donation, Ms. Nafisatu said the initiative was motivated by her belief that “disability is not inability.” She emphasized that persons living with disabilities deserve support, encouragement and equal opportunities to pursue their dreams.
According to her, the donation is also a demonstration of her commitment to giving back to society and making a meaningful difference in the lives of people who require assistance.
Ms. Nafisatu, who is also a hopeful for the position of Deputy Youth Organizer of the NDC in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, said her commitment to youth development does not depend on occupying a political position.
She noted that even before seeking political office, she had been actively involved in organizing educational and empowerment programmes for young girls in schools, with the aim of motivating them to remain focused on their education, build confidence and achieve their goals.
She stressed that her vision is to continue supporting young people and creating opportunities that can contribute to their development, regardless of their background or physical condition.
Ms. Nafisatu further encouraged individuals and organizations with the capacity to support vulnerable people in society to complement government and institutional efforts by extending assistance to those in need.
She expressed her appreciation to individuals who contributed to making the donation possible, particularly Mr. Paa Kofi Wesley, Mr. Maxwell Baidoo (WENDA President), Mr. Bismark Sarfo (Youth MP, BAB Constituency), and Mr. Kwadwo Osei Agyemang.
She said their support and contribution towards the initiative demonstrated the importance of collective efforts in improving the lives of people within communities.
The donation has been described as a gesture that could provide not only practical assistance to the beneficiary but also encouragement and hope as he continues his education at Chirano Community Day SHS.
Ms. Fonda Nafisatu reaffirmed her commitment to philanthropy, youth empowerment and community development, pledging to continue supporting initiatives that promote education, inclusion and opportunities for young people.
