Solani Montessori School, a private school for children under and above the age of 10 years, on Friday, June 28, organized a Career Day for their students.
According to Mr John Kojo-Owusu, the headmaster, the purpose of the Career Day was to expose the students to a variety of careers and jobs and also connect them to partners in their career fields.
During the occasion, experts from the security services, medical fields, mining companies, footballers, teachers, farmers the plumbers, among others, were brought to the school campus to mentor the students through the school liaison on career and related activities.
Mr Owusu said this will help the students identify their areas of career interest as well as help them obtain a deeper understanding of their interest.
Moreover, the Career Day aided the students in demonstrating their communication skills and also supported their classroom preparation towards their career interests.
He again stressed that Solani Montessori School seeks to raise the next generation of well-rounded servant leaders through Christ-centered education that engages the students spiritually, physically, socially, and mentally.
This is to help them fully display their diverse talents and skills while fostering an enthusiastic love for God, their school, and community.
Mrs. Ophilia Terkper, the Principal Nursing Officer and Acting Nursing Manager at the Bibiani Government Hospital, advised the pupils to take their studies seriously for their careers to come to pass.
She therefore seized the opportunity to appeal to parents and guidance to invest in their wards education because they are the future leaders.
Some parents who attended the program were happy to see their wards at their career address.
