Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Places Second in 2026 Western North Inter-District JHS Independence Day Quiz

Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai (Kingdom First Preparetory School) has secured second place in the 2026 Western North Inter-District JHS Independence Day Quiz Competition.

The competition was organized by Eagle Eye Educational Consult in collaboration with Chirano Gold Mines Limited and the Western North Regional Education Directorate. It was held at the Bia Lamplighter College of Education campus in Sefwi Debiso as part of activities marking Ghana’s Independence Day celebration.

After three competitive rounds, Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai (Kingdom First Preparetory School) recorded a total score of 52.5 points to place second.

In Round One, the district scored 15 points. They followed up with 12 points in Round Two. In Round Three, Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai (Kingdom First Preparetory School) put up a strong performance, scoring 25.5 points, bringing their total to 52.5 points.

Bodi District emerged overall winners with 58.5 points, placing first. They scored 15 points in Round One, 17 points in Round Two, and 26.5 points in Round Three.

Bia West came third with 51.5 points, while Bia East placed fourth with 48 points. Juaboso secured fifth position with 45 points, and Aowin placed sixth with 32 points.

The competition tested students in various subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Science and Social Studies. Participants displayed confidence, teamwork and academic excellence throughout the contest.

Organizers stated that the aim of the quiz is to promote academic excellence among Junior High Schools in the Western North Region and to encourage students to strive for higher academic achievement.

The event ended with the presentation of awards and certificates to the participating districts, with Bibiani Anhwiaso receiving applause for their impressive second-place finish.
