Akontonbra DCE Highlights Improvements in Road Infrastructure Under His Watch
The District Chief Executive for Akontonbra District in the Western North Region, Honourable Joseph Appiah, has outlined the improvements made to the district's road network with the help of DRIP machines during his tenure. He noted that the district previously faced numerous challenges with poor road networks in some communities.
Addressing Communities with Poor Road Networks
Honourable Appiah urged communities still struggling with poor road networks to be patient, assuring them that their challenges would be addressed in due time.
Regarding the origin of the DRIP machines, Honourable Appiah clarified that it is not true that the machines were introduced by the past NPP government led by H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to him, the machines have been in existence since the tenure of former President Professor John Evans Atta Mills, and the NPP government merely rebranded them as DRIP.
Honourable Appiah highlighted his efforts to ensure the district remains clean and urged residents to dispose of refuse properly to promote sanitation and prevent health issues.
