W/N/R : Chirano Gold Mines, in collaboration with Chirano Sefwiman Foundation, has awarded a scholarship to 53 students for tertiary education

The Chirano Gold Mines and its  Foundation “Chirano Sefwiman Foundation” has awarded 53 Students in the Western North Region their Catchment entries at Sefwi Chirano in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality.

According to the General Manager of the Chirano Gold Mines Mr Stephen Asante Yeboah, this is not the first time that they’re awarding quality students not just like that but Brilliant and Needy Student in their catchment entries to further their education in the Tertiary Level of which they started its 2020.

When Mr Stephen Asante Yeboah was speaking to the Bibianinews.com, he stated it’s clear that, they are not just giving the Scholarship to them but they’re encouraging them to use its and make a good use of the opportunity given them so that they can also project and lift the image of the Sefwi’s.

Mr Dindoa Chialil the Board Chairman of the Chirano Gold Mines and Chirano Sefwiman Foundation also added to it’s that, they were facing some challenges which lead them not to award the quality students in the year 2023 and they didn’t intend to but it was the surrounded communities in the catchment entries complaining of the brother’s and sister’s and their son’s and daughter’s that they should award them even if they qualify or not.

So they are pleading with the catchment communities that not everyone in the community deserves to be awarded a scholarship but the Brilliant and the Needy Student.

Nana Eluo Panyin II also added these to it’s that, before any student can apply for the scholarship, unless the person have passes through the right procedure by seeing those in authorities.
