_Sanitation Education Crucial for Ghana's Development - Mrs. Patricia Kwarteng_

Mrs. Patricia Kwarteng, a prominent advocate for sanitation education and CEO of Magtwins EAGLE Foundation, has emphasized the importance of citizens having knowledge about proper sanitation practices to maintain a clean and healthy environment. Speaking to the press after organizing a clean-up exercise at Asafo Market, she highlighted the efforts of Magtwins Foundation, which has taken the initiative to tidy up the environment and set an example for others to follow.

According to Mrs. Kwarteng, every individual plays a key role in maintaining good hygienic practices, and it's essential for citizens to take action without waiting for government policies. She also pointed to the government's role in promoting sanitation education, suggesting that strict policies and measures similar to those in Western countries could be beneficial. She cited the example of recycling programs in other countries, where citizens are incentivized to collect and return used bottles, reducing litter and promoting a cleaner environment.

"We can't afford to ignore the need for sanitation education," Mrs. Kwarteng stressed. "If we don't take action, Ghana may become an uninhabitable place in the next five years or more." She warned.

Mrs. Kwarteng called on various stakeholders, especially the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) led by Hon. Zuba, market women, religious leaders, chiefs, and other influential individuals, to join forces and educate people on the importance of sanitation. By working together, she believes that Ghana can become a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable place to live.
