SDA Church Supports National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving
The Sefwi Wiawso District Pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, Pastor Elijah Kofi Asante, has expressed the church's support for the government's initiative to declare a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving Service scheduled for July 1st, 2025.
Speaking at the launch of the SDA's district prayer conference at the Sefwi Wiawso Central SDA Church, Pastor Asante emphasized the church's backing for the initiative.
Pastor Asante urged citizens to be patriotic and play their roles in supporting the country's growth, noting that prayers alone cannot solve the nation's challenges. He encouraged Ghanaians to take an active part in nation-building.
The pastor also addressed misconceptions about the SDA Church's prayer practices, stating that the church is indeed prayerful but has its own philosophy and approach to prayer.
Finally, Pastor Asante called on the country's leadership to implement policies that promote the living standards of citizens. He also urged Ghanaians to exhibit character and support nation-building efforts.
