The Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to education and youth development by donating essential examination materials to candidates preparing for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the East Gonja Municipality.

The donation, presented on her behalf by the Salaga South NDC Constituency Chairman, Haruna Abdul Aziz, included 1,200 mathematical sets and 24 boxes of pens. The items are intended to benefit all 1,155 candidates scheduled to sit for the BECE, which begins on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Addressing the gathering during the presentation ceremony, Chairman Abdul Aziz emphasized that education remains one of the MP's foremost priorities. He noted that for the past six years, Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah has consistently supported BECE candidates across the constituency through the sponsorship of mock examinations, provision of examination materials, and assistance with transportation and feeding.

As part of this year's intervention, the MP has also arranged for daily lunch to be provided to all candidates, invigilators, and security personnel throughout the examination period.

In addition, candidates from the Konkomba, Kafaba, Makango, and Abromase Circuits, who will be accommodated at Salaga Senior High School and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, will receive breakfast and supper for the duration of their stay.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Municipal Education Directorate, Rev. Augustine Tunkungmen, Deputy Director in charge of Monitoring and Supervision, expressed profound gratitude to the MP for her sustained support for education in the municipality.

He assured that the materials would be distributed promptly to ensure that all candidates are well-prepared ahead of the examinations. He further noted that such interventions significantly reduce the financial burden on parents and guardians while promoting academic excellence among students.

Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah also extended her heartfelt best wishes to all candidates, urging them to approach the examinations with discipline, confidence, and determination.

Her continued investment in education has earned her widespread commendation from constituents, further solidifying her reputation as a leader dedicated to empowering the next generation.
