Okada Rider Injured in Collision with Sprinter at Bibiani Melcom
A motor accident occurred at Bibiani Melcom on the Bibiani–Sefwi Bekwai Highway involving a sprinter bus with registration number AW 1008-21 and a motorbike (Okada) with registration number M-24-AS-2000.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Okada rider attempted to overtake another vehicle but accidentally collided with the oncoming sprinter.
Fortunately, no passengers in the sprinter sustained injuries. However, the Okada rider and his passenger suffered serious injuries and were quickly rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. With the assistance of bystanders, they cleared the vehicles from the road to ease traffic congestion and restore the free flow of movement.
Authorities are yet to provide an official statement on the incident.
