FEED GHANA INITIATIVE A TOP PRIORITY - HON. DOMINIC GYASI_
The Municipal Chief Executive of Sefwi Wiawso Municipal, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, has praised the government's "Feed Ghana" initiative as one of the most significant programs he has come across in the 4th Republic. According to him, the initiative has various categories that will enhance farmers' skills and modernize farming methods, moving away from traditional tools like cutlasses and hoes.
Hon. Gyasi emphasized that the government's initiatives, including the Youth Employment Agency's (YEA) Fire Service Assistants (FSAs), Community Police Assistants (CPAs), and Community Health Care Assistants (CHCAs), will help reduce unemployment rates, especially among the youth. He added that these initiatives contribute to Ghana's socio-economic development and reduce unemployment.
The MCE urged everyone to support the Feed Ghana initiative, stating that it's a great opportunity for development. During an interview on Faith FM's "Yie Die Political Morning Show," Hon. Gyasi compared the current government's budget allocation to the previous government's, highlighting the increase from 13 million Ghana Cedis over 4 years to 19 million Ghana Cedis in just one year.
He encouraged people to put aside party affiliations and work towards developing the Western North Region and Ghana as a whole. Finally, Hon. Gyasi mentioned that during his tenure, he plans to establish a Timber Village in Sefwi Wiawso Municipal, which will provide a centralized location for timber industries, reduce costs, and generate income for the Assembly.
