NADMO Orients Sawmill and Timber Companies on Safety Precautions
The Western North regional Natural Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has organized a workshop to train sawmill and timber companies on safety precautions, which will help in the management and prevention of disasters in their various workplaces.
Speaking during the orientation at Beulah Land Hotel in Sefwi Wiawso Municipality last Monday, the regional Director for NADMO, Esther Oppong Amponsah, said that during their visitation to the various companies, they found that the safety precautions of most of these companies in the region were very poor, which could lead to disasters.
She called on all participants to ensure they apply all that they have learned in their various workplaces to make the work of NADMO easier and also to prevent future accidents. She also called on all to continue their cooperation with NADMO, especially in the Western North region.
Finally, some of the participants spoke, sharing what they had achieved in the orientation with the general public, which they said would help prevent future disasters.
