Nana Kwasi Nyanzu, the Adontenhene of Sefwi Ntakam in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, has publicly denied any involvement in the recent shooting incident that occurred at the Sefwi Asawinso “A” Hill Fao Forest Reserve.

According to him, there are several Adontenhene within the Sefwi traditional area, yet his name has been singled out and repeatedly mentioned in connection with the matter without any evidence.
Nana Kwasi Nyanzu questioned why the individual alleged to have sold the galamsey site to the illegal miners has not been arrested or invited for questioning by the security authorities, while the person reportedly managing the site has already been apprehended.
He further stated that the alleged person accused of selling the land is currently moving freely and remains at home without any action taken against him.
The traditional leader expressed disappointment over attempts to associate him with the illegal mining activities and the shooting incident, insisting that he has no knowledge of the operation at the site.
